Likely causes
Section titled “Likely causes”- The key is invalid or was revoked.
- Balance, quota, or provider availability prevents the request.
Fix it in this order
Section titled “Fix it in this order”- Open platform.deepseek.com/api_keys and check the key and account balance.
- Re-copy the key and paste it into the DeepSeek row in Reduz Settings.
- Click Test to confirm the connection.
- If it passes, summarize a short source to confirm the rest of the flow.

Keep your existing notes
Section titled “Keep your existing notes”A failed request does not remove local history. Your saved summaries stay in the browser until you clear them or uninstall the extension.
