ReduzReduz Help

Quickstart

Install Reduz, connect a provider key, and save your first summary.

Reduz needs two things: the Chrome extension, and an AI provider key added in its settings. There is no Reduz account to create.

  1. Install the extension. Open reduz.app/extension and add Reduz to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store. Pin it to the toolbar for quick access.

  2. Create an API key with a provider. Pick one of OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, or xAI Grok, and create an API key in that provider’s console. A consumer chat subscription does not necessarily include API access, so check the account has API balance or quota.

  3. Add the key in Reduz. Open the extension Settings, select the provider row, and paste the key. Click Test. It makes one small request, so you know the key works before you rely on it.

  4. Summarize a source. Open a readable article, PDF, or captioned YouTube video, invoke Reduz, and choose Bullets, Post, or Full. Check the result against the original before relying on it.

  5. Find it again. Your summary is saved locally. Open the extension history to search it, revisit the source text, or export it as Markdown, PDF, or DOCX.
