Your local history
Where your keys and history are stored, what your provider processes, and how exports work offline.
Reduz keeps your keys and history in your browser. Your chosen AI provider processes the text you submit.
Stored on this device
Section titled “Stored on this device”History is saved locally in your browser profile. Search it, revisit the source text, and export summaries as Markdown, PDF, or DOCX.
History does not move between devices or installations, and clearing site data for the extension can remove it. Download it as JSON or a Markdown ZIP before you uninstall or clear browser data. On a new device, re-add your provider key and start fresh.
Processed by your provider
Section titled “Processed by your provider”Source text goes directly from your browser to the AI provider you select. Your API key and saved history stay in this browser. Reduz does not receive your provider key or your source text.
Offline reading
Section titled “Offline reading”You can open and export saved history without a Reduz account or an internet connection. Generating a new summary requires access to your selected provider’s API.
